EQUAL PARTNERS IN FAITH is a multi-racial national network of religious leaders and people of faith committed to equality and diversity. Our diverse faith traditions and shared religious values lead us to affirm and defend the equality of all people, regardless of religion, race, ability, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity. As people of faith, we actively oppose the manipulation of religion to promote inequality and exclusion.

PLEASE JOIN US AND OUR PARTNERS IN THE ONGOING STRUGGLE
AGAINST RACISM, SEXISM, HOMOPHOBIA AND RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE

Faith Voices seeks to educate the wider public about the shared values, issues, and ethical concerns of religious people and their organizations. It enhances community interconnections among its diverse member organizations to coordinate efforts to educate others about major social issues. We make use of a powerful new technology, Synanim, an internet system that educates through dialogue and collaborative creation of ideas.

Through our unique technologies and activities, we help our membership contribute to the renewal of American democratic life through education and knowledge.

Educate Through Dialogue
  • Encourage dialogue and synthesize consensus among members
  • Coordinate educational efforts to reach a wide public
  • Enhance capabilities of member organizations
Engender Ideas
  • Spark new thinking about values, religion, and public policy
  • Broaden the public role of theological schools and religious scholars

On this site, religious tolerance means:

To extend religious freedom to people of all religious traditions, even though you may disagree with their beliefs and/or practices.

Religious tolerance does not require you:

To accept all religions as equally true.

Religious freedom means that you can:
  • Without oppression, believe, worship and witness (or practice freedom from belief, worship and witness), as you wish;
  • change your beliefs or religion; and
  • associate with others to express your beliefs.1

Our site mandate:
  • "To promote religious tolerance and freedom;
  • to objectively describe religious faiths in all their diversity; and
  • to objectively describe controversial topics from all points of view."

The Women's Alliance for Theology, Ethics and Ritual (WATER) began in 1983 in response to the need for theological, ethical, and liturgical development for and by women.

We are a feminist educational center, doing work locally, nationally and internationally organizing programs and projects, publications and workshops, counseling, spiritual direction and liturgical planning which help people actualize feminist religious values in the service of social change.

WATER helps develop inclusive religious and social communities, and focuses feminist faith on bringing about social justice.

CoFFI - Communities of Faith for Full Inclusion

Straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons of faith: talking, listening, and learning together.

Sit down and join us for CoFFI.

CoFFI is here to help facilitate dialogue within and among communities of faith in Alabama about the needs and roles of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons. CoFFI's role is to help raise awareness among people of faith and to assist them in their search to find ways to serve these children of God.

Maryland

We are an organization of individuals and associations drawn from many religious persuasions that support efforts to:

  • Foster more positive perspectives on homosexuality, bisexuality, and transgenderness within religious bodies in cooperation with existing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (g/l/b/t) friendly religious organizations

  • Implement a program of public education and awareness to counter societal oppression of g/l/b/t persons within the state of Maryland.

  • Nurture a robust, broadly based, statewide interfaith coalition that will develop advocates, from within religious bodies, for fair treatment of g/l/b/t persons in Maryland.

Michigan

Are you lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender -- or questioning if you are? Or are you a family member or friend of someone who is? Is your faith important to you? Are you looking for a faith-based group that affirms all of us as gifts from God? Then you've arrived at the right place!

With headquarters in Grand Rapids, GIFT serves people throughout West Michigan. We sponsor
  • TNT, a group for youth in their teens or twenties
  • life enrichment groups for all ages,
  • individual dialogue with our chaplains,
  • education in the community, and
  • resources and referrals.

Virginia

We are people of faith who believe in the sanctity of marriage. We believe society should encourage people to live in loving, stable, committed relationships. We believe that such relationships between two adults, whether of the same or different genders, are sacred relationships, and should be recognized in law and respected by all.
