About Us--
To tell you a little about us, we
are a National Feminine Lesbian Sorority that reigns in
Carnation Pink, Ice Blue and Pearl White. Although we
cater to feminine lesbian women we do not discriminate
against bi-sexual, heterosexual women, or any race. We
feel that it is ultimately wrong to deny anyone the
right to be interested in a sorority such as ours. There
are many women that would love to participate in the
many volunteer activities that are present in our
lesbian communities as well as in the heterosexual
arena.
Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc.
was founded on June
27, 2000 and officially
incorporated on
January 16, 2001. The first chapter
of Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. was established in
Tallahassee, FL and there are Five Founding Diamonds:
A. Perez, M. Wright,
N. Lanier, D. Bender, and A. Spencer.
We do a wide range of community service, such as Aids
Awareness, The March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Awareness,
Safe Sex seminars, Black Lesbian pride events, and so
much more. We are always looking for dedicated women to
help Beta Phi Omega Sorority expand in your city or
state. We need women that can be leaders and are not
afraid to make a mark in history! Beta Phi Omega
Sorority, Inc. is a sorority that is strongly geared
towards awareness, pride, love, joy, prosperity,
community involvement, and last but certainly not least
lesbian victory!

So basically, this is where we would write some
long, sappy dialogue talking about the inspiration, motivation and
any other sundry -isms randomly attached to
LesbianAlliance.com. However, we won’t bore you with
the minutiae of Sara’s daily "epiphanies", Tabby’s random spoutings
or any of our other staffers oh-so-important lives. Still, we do
think you should know "why" LesbianAlliance.com is here and what we
intend to accomplish with our presence; otherwise, on to our mission
statement.
LesbianAlliance.com is both lesbian owned and
operated and thus, our interest in gay women is both integral and
sincere. Our goal is to create a stronger, united voice for gay
women within the GLBT community. We promise to provide a safe place
to network, communicate, create and seize opportunities on a
national scale. By building a wellspring of professional advice,
informative content, and useful, lesbian-friendly resource listings
of all sorts we hope to bring the lesbian community closer together.

History
On Thursday December 9th 2004 the
sisterhood of
Sigma Nu Omega
was created. After collectively exploring other
organizations, the founders of "Sigma" decided there was
no sisterhood like the one that was already established
between the six of them. These women, known today as The
Black Pearls, decided to reach out to other women of
their kind and share the sisterhood that they created
along a chance to plant a seed in the LGBT community.
Built on a foundation of family values, Sigma Nu Omega
will always stand strong. Well overdue, the quest to
find sisterhood has finally come to an end.
Mission Statement
Sigma Nu Omega's mission is to empower
and affirm the lives of all women by deconstructing the
strong holds of homophobia and to promote health
awareness within the LGBT community.
Our Purpose
Sigma Nu Omega's Purpose for existence is
to serve as a Greek Letter Organization where women of
all race, creed, and sexuality can be comfortably
accepted. The purpose of a Sigma Sister is to uplift and
support the LGBT community to the fullest extent. |
