An international social and support group for heterosexual crossdressers, their partners, the spouses of married crossdressers and their families."

Tri-Ess is a not for profit IRS 501(c)(3) corporation

Tri-Ess is an educational, social and support group for heterosexual crossdressers, their partners, the spouses of married crossdressers and their families. We believe that we are blessed with an additional facet to our personalities. If we accept our cross-gendered side, and explore it, we will find a broadening of the entire personality, which can be very fulfilling. We dress in emulation, rather than in mockery, of femininity. The Tri-Ess philosophy can be expressed in the acronym FIBER:

F - Full personality expression in both its masculine and its feminine aspects. We do not wish to destroy our masculinity, but to soften its harsher aspects, and be all we can be.

I - Integration of masculinity and femininity to create a happier whole person.

B - Balance between masculinity and femininity.

E - Education or crossdressers and their families toward self-acceptance; education of society toward accepting cross-dressing people.

    R - Relationship-building in the context of cross-dressing.

I have been a member and have participated in many of their events.

My wife has been involved in their significant other support efforts.

I heartily recommend them and their programs.

The "Femme" Mirror - Understanding for heterosexual male transvestites and those who love them

Unless you live alone in a cave, one of your closest friends is a transvestite who is dying inside because he can't tell you.
Society tells such men that there is something wrong with them, so they suppress their true selves and live in anguish and isolation.

This series of articles promotes understanding for heterosexual male transvestites and those who love them. If you are a cross-dresser or care about someone who is, this series provides invaluable insights into the issues you face.

Who we are?

Nearly all of us are married or have been in the past. We are loving husbands and fathers, the type of person you would find next door.

We work in offices, drive trucks, work in construction, are doctors, lawyers, musicians or even your friendly police officer - literally all occupations.

We are white, black, red, yellow, young, old (well, not THAT old), rich, poor and everything in between. In other words, perfectly normal people you meet from day to day. In addition, we are what some call transvestites (trans - over, across + vestire - to dress, clothing, attire) or more commonly known simply as crossdressers.

WHO WE ARE

We also strive to raise awareness of crossdressing and to promote a positive image of our community to business owners, the media, and the general public. But most of all, we like to have fun!  The joy we feel in being who we are is captured in our motto, “Celebrating Feminine Expression.”

New Jersey

New Jersey Support Group

An open transgender support organization

Mission Statement
New Jersey Support Group provides a cultural medium for all identifying as transgender, transsexual, or crossdresser in New Jersey and East Pennsylvania through which we can give and receive support by sharing our diverse life experiences as gifted individuals. To help our brothers and sisters to recognize and derive strength from the common bond that we share and to further the ongoing success of the transgender community in achieving a greater level of acceptance from main stream society as a whole.

Tri-Ess is an educational, social, and support group for the heterosexual crossdresser, their partner, the spouse of the married crossdresser, and their families. We support the crossdresser and their spouse. We believe that we are blessed with an additional facet to our personalities. If we accept our transgender side, and explore it, we will find a broadening of the entire personality, which can be very fulfilling.

The crossdresser, who encompasses the majority of males of transgender experience, is most often strongly heterosexual, enjoys the many aspects of their male life, and has no desire to pursue any transitional path. For the crossdresser, the ability to periodically express the feminine side of their personality is sufficient. Tri-Ess New Jersey understands the needs of the heterosexual crossdresser, and the concerns of the female partner, or the spouse of the married crossdresser. Our support group provides a safe social and support environment for the crossdresser, their partner, the spouse of the married crossdresser, and their families living in the New Jeresy and Eastern Pennsylvania areas.

Tri-Ess New Jersey fully supports open transgender organizations and the broader transgender community. In fact, some of our members belong to other transgender organizations and frequent open transgender support groups. Different individuals and their partners need different levels of support. Tri-Ess New Jersey understands this, and therefore operates as a focused support group for the heterosexual crossdresser, their partner, the spouse of the married crossdresser, and their families.

New York
CROSSDRESSERS INTERNATIONAL (CDI)
an affiliate of the Greater New York Gender Alliance, Inc.

Crossdressers International (CDI) is a non-profit, non-sexual group based in New York City. We were founded in 1990 by S. Kristine James, a prominent transgender activist on the national scene, and her good friend Karen Cioe.

We focus primarily on closeted male-to-female crossdressers, offering a safe, informative, and welcoming means for CDs to overcome their fears of being discovered and to happily and constructively express their transgender selves. Our experience suggests that a CD's female side is born inside each individual, and therefore cannot be denied. Those who learn to express their femme sides are some of the happiest people we've ever met!

For those who want to escape the closet, we can help. But no one is ever pressured to do so. For those who are happy as they are, CDI is a nice, safe place to be themselves.

Our Purpose and A Brief Overview

Welcome to the official hompepage of the Alpha Tau (Austin, Texas) Chapter of Tri-Ess. We are a Central Texas-based chapter of Tri-Ess; a non-profit, support and social organization for heterosexual crossdressers, their families and friends.

We hold monthly meetings at a secure location here in Austin, on the 4th Saturday of each month. Apart from offering support for it's chapter's members, Tri-Ess also publishes a quarterly, professional magazine for it's members, The Mirror, as well as an annual directory of the international membership.

Our local chapter hosts a variety of programs for it's members; including presentations from Transgender Community leaders and helping professionals, make-over and clothing presentations and seminars, dinners out (for those who are comfortable) at local TG-friendly restaurants, as well as functions with other local area support organizations.

A web site provided as a resource to the transgender community in the Central Texas area

Welcome to Central Texas!
We've chosen the yellow rose, a well-known Texas symbol, because it combines elements of the things many of us associate with being transgendered--the flower, which can lie dormant for many years before it blooms, the beauty to which we aspire, the thorns which protect us, and the varieties that blossom in our garden.

ABOUT CTTGS

The Central Texas Transgender Society is an informal association of individuals and groups in the central Texas area, formed primarily to develop and maintain this Web Site. The site is provided as a resource to the transgender community in the Central Texas area, serving (but not necessarily limited to) crossdressers, transvestites, and transexuals.

Many of our members live in the Dallas / Fort Worth area but we have members from as far away as Oklahoma City to the north and San Antonio to the south.  We meet the first Saturday evening of every month in the Dallas /Fort Worth area. We also participate in joint activities with other Dallas based Transgender groups.

The purpose of our group is to act as a non-sexual support group for heterosexual crossdressers, spouses, significant others, and their families. We assist our members in developing understanding and acceptance of both masculine and feminine qualities essential to their personalities.

To further our purpose, we provide opportunities for crossdressing, monthly programs, service, outreach, and social activities for the support of our members and to assist members with problems related to crossdressing whenever possible.

METROPLEX CROSSDRESSERS CLUB

We were founded in the late 1970's and we welcome anyone, who is over eighteen, with interest in transgender ideas and cross dressing. We were founded on the premise to foster friendship, insight, knowledge, help, and understanding within the transgender community.

The organization reaches out to all gender conflicted adults and significant others regardless of race, religion, biologic sex, marital status, or sexual orientation. By providing a nurturing atmosphere, we encourage personal growth, self-acceptance, and provide opportunities for making new friends.

Virginia

Hampton Roads Transgender Outreach
(HRTO)

This support group is for all seeking
help, answers, and understanding. We meet on the SECOND  SATURDAY of  each    month, in Tidewater Virginia.

Wives and s/o's are encouraged to come.

This group is open to all.

The Rho Tau chapter serves the Richmond, and Tidewater portions of Virginia and the northeastern portion of North Carolina. We are a support/social group for the heterosexual crossdresser and spouse.

Rho Tau is a support group for cross dressers, their spouses and significant others. This group meets monthly in the Tidewater, Virginia area. A typical get together consists of an informal reception with Hors d'oeuvres, a business meeting, a program and social time. Programs are designed for interest of all members of the group.

We encourage wives and significant others to become a part of the group along with their CD's. Communication between CDs and their wives and SOs is essential to developing an understanding of the issues facing them and their families. Wives and SO's are equal members of the group and also hold offices.

Within the group each person is available to help another member. It can be CD's helping other CD's, wives or significant others. Or any combination of individuals. There are no formal therapy sessions, just helping hands along the road to personal understanding and growth.
