The purposes of this
organization are two: to develop and
operate Retirement Communities that
are openly LGBT friendly and to
promote, provide and support
education on aging. We hope to add
new members so we will be able to
grow and reach those individuals and
couples currently interested and
sustain for those coming in future.
By developing Projects that reflect
pride in our GLBT Community, we hope
to promote the positive aspects of
our lifestyle. We also want to
promote fun,
friendship and continued
relationships in a group living
setting that is accepting and
tolerant of differences while
emphasizing health, wellness and
well-being. GLARP intends to add to
and coordiante with existing LGBT
community's efforts, organizations
and agencies in its development
of retirement communities.

About the
Guide
How did it start?
The GrayGay Guide started in 1996 as a result of a
visit to Barcelona which I enjoyed so much I posted
information about the trip to the Silverfox Mailing List
(see
Mailing Lists page).
This generated email
traffic from around the globe regarding other GrayGay
places to visit, including a list from the late Ray
Orpino. Much of the information I received was not
available in any guide book and so I decided to use my
web space for the GrayGay Guide site, which now includes
information on 52 countries and over 2000 venues. In
2000 this was redesigned and expanded into GrayGay.com -
a one-stop resource for mature gay men and their
admirers.

Lesbian and Gay Aging Issues Network
LGAIN - An ASA Consitutent
Group
The Lesbian and Gay Aging Issues
Network (LGAIN) works to raise
awareness about the concerns of
lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender (LGBT) elders and
about the unique barriers they
encounter in gaining access to
housing, healthcare, long-term
care and other needed services.

These newsletters feature transgendered
issues. If you are mature and interested, open-minded
or maybe just curious, you are welcome. If not, "surf on". You will
not find pornography nor
graphic sexual representations at this site.

"Old Hags & Sagging Bags" is a
newsletter for the aging crossdresser and other older transgendered
persons. The newsletter complies with the spirit and letter of
Renaissance so while the emphasis seems to
be on cross-dressing, all transgender issues are featured.

Old Lesbians
Organizing
for Change
We are a national network of old lesbians over
age 60 working to confront agism in our communities and our country.
We use education and public discourse as our primary tools.
Our national organization is directed by a
Steering Committee that works to form and support local groups who
will work in their own communities.
We hold biennial National Gatherings allowing us
to come together to share experiences and ideas and recharge our
energies for the tasks at hand.
We
believe that we have a great deal of wisdom, experience and strength
to share with our communities as well as among ourselves.
Everyone will have her older life made better by the work we do.
