Resources That Can

Many LGBT people seek special support resources to help provide the sustenance that is often lacking in mainstream organizations.  To help meet those special needs, this site was established as a collection point for resources that support the LGBT community. Whatever your situation; whatever your need - help is available!

These resources are primarily intended to help and support people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning and their friends and family.  Also included are resources to help the general public to understand and deal effectively with the issues faced by us.

The "Femme" Mirror - Understanding for heterosexual male transvestites and those who love them

Unless you live alone in a cave, one of your closest friends is a transvestite who is dying inside because he can't tell you. Society tells such men that there is something wrong with them, so they suppress their true selves and live in anguish and isolation.

This series of articles promotes understanding for heterosexual male transvestites and those who love them. If you are a cross-dresser or care about someone who is, this series provides invaluable insights into the issues you face.

Same Sex Marriage

The underlying issue driving opposition to same sex marriage is the erroneous religious belief that homosexuals are unrepentant sinners of the worst kind. As such, homosexuals don't actually deserve any rights. This opposition is wrong as both a civil issue and as a Christian issue.

Civil Issue - The separation of church and state should prevent writing religious dogma into law. Liberty and justice for all should provide homosexuals with the same rights and privileges as others. That stand represents the "gay agenda" you hear so much about.

Christian Issue - In the past, the use of selected Bible verses to "prove" a position has led religious organizations to such discredited positions as supporting slavery and relegating women to subservience to men. The particular verses used in this case have also been effectively refuted. Most importantly, anyone who is a follower of Jesus Christ need only read the Gospels with an open heart instead of a legalistic brain to see that Jesus would never have taken a position against homosexuals nor same sex marriage.

Cross-Dressing & the Bible
This material is designed for a discussion with religious leaders and other spiritually-oriented persons who object to cross-dressers on Biblical grounds. It requires a willingness on their part to objectively consider the Scriptural issues. It provides discussion points to ask and answer two basic questions:  1) Does Deuteronomy 22:5 declare that cross-dressing is intrinsically wrong?  2) Does it automatically condemn any form of cross-dressing as a sin requiring repentance in order to be accepted into the Christian church and to be accepted by God?
