Kudos

What a great resource and encouragement for transgender people as well as a voice to end the discrimination that paralyzes our society. The writing is great and is a great inspiration.

If you have room, I would feel honored to continue to receive the newsletter; as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education and the SUPPOSED end of discrimination, your vigilant, pioneering work on behalf of ALL  people is more crucial than ever...

I want to be on this list - thank you for your ministry.

I sure admire you in the work you're doing.

PLEASE, keep me on your mailing list--your little newsletter does GREAT service.  Keep up the good work & PLEASE keep sending it my way!  Love & Shalom!

I would like to be kept on your mailing list. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, and I look forward to your future news letters.

Thanks for the thoughtful articles. I am a straight but liberal UMC female.

You have immense courage. Until we wrestle with our own "darkness" and the messages from our unconscious, how can we stand in God's light?  I have no use for Fundamentalist Christians at all, but I admire your stand and your quiet tenacity.  You are definitely one of God's Kids.

I support you for all the wonderful work you do and for all your writing. Keep up the good work and definitely keep me on your E-mail list. You inspire me!!

Best of luck on your mission.  God is with you.

I would like to run a version of this well-reasoned missive in the February issue of the AHP Perspective, which will be on Diversity and "--isms." I will send you some suggestions or revisions next fall. I enjoy your writing.

Thank you for your well reasoned argument. It is unfortunate that much of what passes as religious fervor is actually a passionate embrace of prejudice. I support you in your effort to end the bigotry!

I was so relieved when a sister sent me articles you had written. I have been searching for 10 years trying to find a person of knowledge, integrity and empathy that good help me reconcile my cross-dressing with my Christianity.

Want you to know Rachel, that your mailings have meant a great deal to me over the last couple of years.  They were a part of a significant theological journey, ultimately leading me out of my role as pastor / head of staff at a large Presbyterian church in Portland.  Hang in there.  I appreciate you.

I always feel positive about your writings, since you are on the path of educating others...and hopefully inspiring their spiritual awakening.  Thanks for adding to the body of knowledge!

Thank you for your wonderful message, it brought tears to my eyes. It seems since we last talked, you have developed a much more positive attitude about this thing we share. I have had some difficulties with my parents in the early stages but they seem to be understanding better now. It was much like you described in your message. I sent her a copy.  Thanks again for your message and keep up the good work.

I am truly sorry that things did not work out well for you in that church.  Your mission sounded exciting and challenging and could have added to them greatly, if only they had opened their hearts to the message of the Gospel.  Don't give up, God has a place for you to shine and you only have to find it.  Who knows, maybe it's this e-mail campaign of yours??

Enjoyed looking at your site. Appreciate your general emphasis on truth and openness. I have been examining some of the Christian sites off and on that are affirming/accepting of transgenderism/intersexuality and find much of the discussion compelling, especially studies in Scripture. And I absolutely agree on accepting people as they are. I haven't made any definite conclusions about cross-dressing, but I am inclined to interpret the one verse 22:5 as a religious practice. In any case, I do appreciate your courage to speak about these things.

Again your newsletter impresses me with your wisdom.  Being a GG, and an escapee of organized religion, the topic is not one of my personal deepest concerns, but because my business partner in the salon is a crossdresser, possibly even a transsexual, and he is profoundly Christian, I am concerned for his well being.

God bless you Rachael!  This is a topic and a concern that I am very interested in!

Thank you for your loving message.  God surely placed me on your mailing list.

I know your series --  Planting Loving Seeds, will be just as interesting and authentic as all the other fine newsletters you have so thoughtfully produced. We are all indebted to you for your personal commitment to this excellent work. You are a fine spokesperson for anyone recognizing the importance of the spiritual side of life.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Your church and our community are fortunate to have you. All the best.

I would like to thank you for all of your news letters they have been very helpful.  I humbly as your permission to reprint your last article "Our Gender Family#17" in it's entirety on our on-line Couples Support Forum TRIESS42.  I feel that it can be of great value as a tool used by couples struggling to either incorporate cross dressing into their relationships of even by couples struggling to maintain their relationship period.

The latest of your notes was one of the nicest pieces of describing us.  Would like your permission to share this with other CDs who are not on your mailing list  and to some not so sensitive people you so well described who 'hate all' without understanding.

Just wanted to let you know you sure say it the way it is. Keep up the good work

How lovely! You brought a tear to my eye and a little more love into my heart.  Thanks for sharing with me dear and sweet friend.

Loved your article. Could we use it in our local PFLAG newsletter. We have several transgendered members, and I am sure they would appreciate your inspirational words.

I enjoyed this month's message.  I just thought I would write and tell you that your writing is appreciated.  I know by my own writing in Transgender Forum that not many people take the time to write and say "Thank you".  Well - Thank you!  Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the newsletter. I loved "Will You Try to Understand." You said a lot of the things that I feel. Presently, only my wife knows Melissa's existence. I hope to start changing that.

Thank you so much, Rachel.  Your post and your web page are the most coherent and sensible defenses of cross-dressing I have ever seen.  I've bookmarked the website and will share it with others.  God bless you.  Keep up the good work.

I was deeply touched by your posting in DRAAG. It was beautifully written and so very true. My heart goes out to you Rachel.

I just came across the articles Vol. 1 and 2 on the net - the ones around your search, journey re being a transsexual or not. Wow! you have done a wonderful job of sharing your experience. I am not wondering if I am transsexual, just wondering a bit about what my sexual orientation is – I don't feel pulled one way or the other! Anyway, the info I read can be adjusted for myself to help me explore sexuality for myself and I tend to do that. Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your journey and your in depth sharing. You made what seems difficult to explore much simpler just with the suggested questions? A great model.

Wow, all I can say is well done: Now, dust off your sandals, and go into the world to love and serve the lord... as he commanded us to do...

We are SOOO glad we were able to be there for your big day! Great letter explaining it! I'm so glad you found this great church! It's awesome!

Just some comments and some praise to you for having the courage to
challenge hierarchically engendered prejudice.

Beautiful, Rachel - thank you!!! And so right on!!

I always find your newsletter to be a fresh breath of air. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all your insights you have shared.

I believe I have shared with you in the past how very touching I often find your devotionals. This one particularly touched my heart, in that I find myself at a crossroads in my own life, both from a personal and spiritual aspect. In reality, they are one in the same.  I continually have the feeling that God has something wonderful in store for us. I too am disturbed by the un-loving and un-Christlike attitude of the "church".  I really have no purpose in writing, other than to express again my appreciation for your posts.

I continue to be grateful for your mailings. I know the church must open its doors to all God's children, if it is to be true to its calling. Your ministry is helping to open those doors.

Bravo...your courage is a pilot light in my soul!!

Hi! Keep it up!! Please just keep writing about the truth until the whole world pays attention.

You're doing good things, and I wanted to affirm you in your efforts. Thanks for doing so much to help raise awareness of Christian TG's--you're making a difference.

What an uplifting newsletter!! Thank you for this wonderful communique. It has helped me feel "connected" in a very special way to God and all his children.

Please keep me on your mailing list.  The work you are doing is so important.

I am a former corporate exec who is a post op transsexual healer and speaker. I help people heal themselves and evolve so they can meet the destiny and fulfill their role in evolving humanity. Thank you for the work you are doing. I send you love and blessings and gratitude. Keep up the good work.

It has been many months since we have communicated and I wanted to drop you a note to let you know once again that I appreciate what you continue to do for all of us who are looking to stop the madness of the far right Christians and also provide real resources for those seeking reconciliation between their faith and gender identify. This past week I met with our church moderator at my UCC church and then the chair of the GLBT support group to talk about TG issues. I revealed a vision I have had during several prayer and meditation sessions where the image of Jesus with tears running down his cheeks appeared. I am sure it is the symbolic manifestation of my own frustration with the almost Zealot attitude among some Christians to shame the world into their perceived morality that includes the abolition of the GLBT community or at least our rights. The more I study religion as well as continue my own walk with God, I cannot see Christ in a great deal of their “Christian” church. I guess I should not be surprised in that people have been adding to and subtracting from the life of Jesus since his death.

Rachel, this is so eloquently written.  It says many of the things I have been trying to verbalize so clearly.  Thanks.

Thanks for forwarding this info....great web site...rich with resources.  I'm most impressed.  Keep up the good work.  I find it particularly gratifying to see trans persons becoming more visible and vocal.  This is so greatly needed.

I love reading your beautiful words of compassion and wisdom.
